모키는 문래동에 위치한 폐공장을 개조해 만든 카페입니다. 오랜된 것들이 고유한 이유는 시간이 쌓여있기 때문입니다. 시간은 겹겹이 쌓여 흘러갑니다. ‘시간이 쌓인다’ 라는 물리적 특징을 벽돌이 쌓아지는 시각적인 형태로 확장시켰습니다. 오래된 벽돌집 모키가 주는 시간이 쌓여있는 모습 그대로, 시골집에 놀러온 듯한 편안함을 가져 가길 바랍니다. 곳곳에 있는 공간의 시간의 흐름이 나타나 있는 벽돌의 요소와 중첩된 시간이 쌓여진 모습을 그래픽 모티프로 오래된 것과 정갈한 공간이 주는 따뜻함을 느껴보세요.

Mokki is a cafe created in a renovated abandoned factory located in Mullae-dong. What makes old things unique is the accumulation of time. Time passes layer by layer. The physical characteristic of ‘time accumulating’ has been expanded into the visual form of bricks being stacked. We hope that you will feel comfortable as if you are visiting a country house, just as the old brick house Mokki has accumulated over time. Feel the warmth of an old and neat space with brick elements showing the flow of time in various spaces and graphic motifs showing the accumulation of overlapping time.

GRAPHIC MOTIF

모키는 공간에서 보여지는 특징인 내부 박공지붕을 모티프로 벽돌집을 심볼로 시각화하였습니다. 필란드어 모키는 별장과 시골집을 뜻하고, 일본어로 목키 나무로 만든 그릇을 의미합니다. 두가지 상반된 언어가 가진 의미를 문래 모키에서 나무로 된 집기들과 가구들, 그리고 박공지붕의 시골집과 같은 일관된 브랜딩을 위해 벽돌의 요소를 브랜드아이덴티티에 적용시키고자 했습니다. 벽돌을 쌓아 올려진 모키에서 적층된 시간의 흐름 속 편안함을 경험하길 바랍니다.

Mökki visualized a brick house as a symbol using the internal gable roof, a feature seen in the space, as a motif. In Finnish, it means villa and country house, and in Japanese, mokki means a vessel made of wood. In order to embody the meaning of the two conflicting languages, Mullae Mokki attempted to apply brick elements to the brand identity for consistent branding, such as wooden fixtures and furniture, and a country house with a gable roof. I hope you experience comfort within the layered flow of time, like a country house made of bricks.
